Difference between natural rubber and recycled rubber
Natural rubber, derived from rubber trees, is a scarce resource and can only be successfully grown in specific regions and climates. In contrast, recycled rubber is processed from vulcanized scrap in the production of rubber products. The product price is low and can replace natural rubber to produce rubber products, effectively reducing raw material costs and production energy consumption.
The main differences between natural rubber and recycled rubber are source, cost and performance.
Source and cost: Natural rubber comes from rubber trees, which are a scarce resource and can only be successfully planted in specific regions and climates. In contrast, recycled rubber is processed from vulcanized scrap in the production of rubber products. The product price is low and can replace natural rubber to produce rubber products, effectively reducing raw material costs and production energy consumption.
Performance and application: natural rubber has excellent physical and mechanical properties and processing performance, widely used in tires, footwear, hose and other fields. Although recycled rubber can partially replace raw rubber for rubber products to save raw rubber and carbon black, and also help to improve the processing performance and some properties of rubber products, its physical and mechanical properties such as tensile strength, tear strength and elongation at break may decrease with the increase of the amount of recycled rubber.
Classification: Natural rubber does not break the molecular chain and cross-linking points during the regeneration process, maintaining the natural physical and chemical characteristics. Recycled rubber can be divided into latex reclaimed rubber, tire reclaimed rubber, butyl reclaimed rubber, butyl nitrile reclaimed rubber, butyl benzene reclaimed rubber, three yuan ethylene propylene reclaimed rubber and so on according to the source of waste raw materials. Different types of reclaimed rubber have different mixing ratios in natural rubber.
Generally speaking, natural rubber is an important strategic material and scarce resource related to the national economy, people's livelihood and national defense security. As a substitute, recycled rubber can alleviate the shortage of natural rubber resources to a certain extent, reduce costs and improve economic benefits. In practical applications, suitable rubber types can be selected or mixed according to specific needs to achieve the best results.
